Download and Install Instructions for Windows XP

1. Download the installer for Windows. Choose to Save it to your "My Documents" folder.

   With a high-speed connection like a cable modem, DSL, or satellite, downloading will take less than a minute. On a slow dial-up Internet connection, it will take up to 15 minutes to download.

2. After the download is finished, chose to "Open Folder" so that you can see the file's icon.

3. Double-click on the FlockFiler Lite Setup Icon.

4. You may be presented with a warning dialog about an "Unknown Publisher". Choose to "Run" the installer.

5. Proceed through the steps of the Setup Wizard. When asked where to install it, choose the default option.

   If you choose to install it somewhere other than the default location in "My Documents", be sure to select the same other location the next time you install FlockFiler Lite so that it will properly replace the old installation and let you have convenient access to your old information.

6. Click "Next" to proceed. Then click "Install" on the following screen. Then click "Finish" after the installation is done.

7. Now you can start up FlockFiler Lite via the Start menu. In the Start menu, select
   All Programs --> FlockFiler Lite --> FlockFiler Lite.
