Registering
Full License
After entering your FlockFiler Pro registration information, push the "Apply Pro Registration" button.
Upgrade License
Before your FlockFiler Pro can be accepted, you need to enter your FlockFiler Lite registration information first. Use the "Upgrade From Lite Registration" on the Pro registration screen.
Home
The Master Navigator has four tabs with buttons for reaching the different areas. Most of your work will be done in the Sheep area. Much of the Navigational functionality of the Master Navigator is duplicated in the Navigation menu at the top.
The Current Events section on the Core tab gives you a quick view of Calendar-enabled Log Entries. Choose what time period +/- 1 day, 1 month, 1 week, or 1 year to display in the list. This feature lets you schedule future events (e.g. vaccinations) and they will appear automatically on your Home screen when they fall within the time interval you select. This is a passive reminder system.
You may notice that there is one record being displayed in the Status Area at the left hand side of the Home screen. This is a placeholder record that is unrelated to your sheep records (or any other type of records that FlockFiler Pro can store). The Home screen should always display just one record.

The "Assign Breed" button will try to fill in the breed for you based on the default breed or the breed of the parents. If it cannot, go to the "Breed %" screen to enter the exact breed of the sheep.

The Flock-It-To-Me Export button will export the sheep records you are browsing into a file called FlockItToMe.aml located in the Exports folder inside the FlockFiler Pro folder. The format for this file is still in active development. It is an XML file that can be edited with any text editor. The format is designed to be both human-readable and computer-readable.
The Convert to HTML button will translate the exported Flock-It-To-Me file into a HTML (web page) file named FlockItToMe.html. After creating the file, you may view it in your web browser by choosing "View" in the dialog. If you receive a FlockItToMe.aml file and want to view its contents as a web page, you can place it into the Exports folder and push the Convert to HTML button.
The Flock-It-To-Me Import button will import the contents a file called FlockItToMe.aml located in the Imports folder inside the FlockFiler Pro folder. The combination of the Export and Import buttons will let FlockFiler Pro users exchange data easily. If you purchase sheep, ask for the sheep's records in Flock-It-To-Me format so you can easily add the records to your installation of FlockFiler Pro. Put the file you receive into the Imports folder and push the Import button.

When you put a ram in with your ewes, record it here.
The fastest way to enter the record is to browse only the ewes and the one ram that you put together. Then push the "New Exposure Record for Ewes: n, Rams: m".
Breeding Activitiy
If you monitor the breeding closely with a marking harness or make visual observations, record the day of the pairing and which ram and ewe were involved as a Breeding Activity. Record AI or ET actions here too.

If you keep dairy ewes, record your milking here.
Lists
Preconfigured Lists
These lists are created on-the-fly by doing a Find on the records when you push the button. Members in this list may change when you edit records.
User Lists
Create an unlimited number of named groups of sheep records. These are lists of memorized records that you manage yourself. Add or remove records from any list. Browse any memorized list with a push of a button.
These lists are especially useful for keeping track of groups that may be difficult or tedious to find using a search.
